Silver milk jug from Utrecht, dated 1794 and made by Jacob van Nieuwcasteel, weighing 296.5 g in.835 silver, with a gilded interior, a pearl rim at the top and two rows along the bottom, the base bearing a city mark with L and the master mark IVM; dimensions 20.5 cm high, 15 cm wide, 6.5 cm deep, in good used condition with a small bottom repair and a 5 mm crack. Era: 1400-1900. Condition: Good condition - used with small signs of ageing. Origin: Netherlands.
